demo or album: all the way > MASTERING

An often underestimated process in the studio is mastering the mixes that have been made. The first goal is a homogeneous unity. Are all levels OK, relative to one another? The second goal is technical preparation of the mix in order to place the mix on a CD. Disturbing peaks and frequencies are eliminated through compression, limiting and equalizing. Other aspects, e.g. fade-ins and fade-outs will be taken into account as well.

Analogue mastering

We have a Studer C37 stereo tube tape recorder. This unique mastering recorder has an unmatched resolution. The analogue mix is put directly on its ¼ inch tape. For those who want to get back to that superb analogue sound!
